Bricks — Organization Dashboard

Financial building blocks for Nonprofits. Banking, fundraising, and compliance in one platform.

Everything in one place

Most nonprofits run their finances across six different tools that hide key information from each other. We consolidate the entire pile.

01

Banking

Checking, savings, and cards with dual approvals, restricted-fund sub-accounts, and spending limits. Cashback on every card purchase.

02

Collections

Fundraising, member dues, and event tickets in one place. Receipts send automatically and every payment is categorized.

03

Compliance

Form 990s prepared from your ledger, state registration deadlines tracked, and sales tax handled automatically.

04

Accounting

Expenses categorized automatically, with intelligent spend insights. Syncs to the accounting system you already use.

What the product walkthroughs show

Create chapter dues

The dues walkthrough opens the collection form, enters a name and amount, selects the members it applies to, and returns to the dues list with the new charge in place.

  1. Open the dues list.
  2. Choose Create Dues and enter a name and amount for the charge.
  3. Choose which members the charge applies to.
  4. Return to the dues list, where the new charge appears with its status.

Review transaction records

The accounting walkthrough moves from the account overview to the transaction list, then filters it down to a subset of records.

  1. Review the account overview and current balance.
  2. Open the transaction list to see incoming and outgoing records, each already categorized.
  3. Filter the transaction view to focus on a subset of records.

Set up a spending card

The cards walkthrough enters a cardholder, label, category, and spending limit, then chooses who can use the card and returns to the card list.

  1. Open the cards area.
  2. Enter the card details and a spending limit in the Issue Expense Card form.
  3. Choose the cardholders who can use the card.
  4. Return to the card list, where the new card appears with its limit.

File a Form 990-N

The compliance walkthrough opens the Form 990-N workflow, shows the review and e-sign step, and ends on the filing confirmation.

  1. Open the Form 990-N preparation workflow.
  2. Review the organization information assembled from the ledger and complete the e-sign step.
  3. The confirmation and filing record appear once the return is submitted.

Verifiably trusted

Security and compliance are the mortar — invisible, everywhere, and holding the whole thing together.

FDIC-insured accounts

Accounts run on Stripe Treasury and cards on Stripe Issuing. Deposits sit at Stripe’s partner banks, Members FDIC, and are monitored around the clock.

CPA-signed filings

Every 990 and state registration is prepared from your ledger, then signed off by a licensed CPA before it goes out the door.

FAQs

Is Bricks a bank?

No. Bricks is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts are provided through Stripe Treasury and cards through Stripe Issuing, with deposits held at Stripe’s partner banks, Members FDIC. Bricks builds the software on top.

What does it cost?

It depends on the size of your organization and how much you customize — for most, it's $50 per month, covering banking, collections, accounting, and compliance for everyone. CPA review of your 990 is priced separately. We'll confirm your number on a call.

We already use QuickBooks. Can we switch?

You don't have to. Most organizations keep QuickBooks and connect it to Bricks — transactions and fund tags sync across already categorized, so there's no month-end cleanup. If you'd rather consolidate, we'll import your accounts, funds, and history and do the mapping with you.

How does restricted-fund tracking work?

Every fund lives as its own sub-account, and money is tagged the moment it arrives — a grant, a building-fund gift, general operating. Restricted dollars can't be spent from the wrong bucket, and your statement of activities reflects it automatically.

Who prepares our Form 990?

Bricks assembles it either way — we build the 990 from your ledger as the year goes, so nothing gets reconstructed at filing season. From there it's your choice: our partner CPA reviews and signs it, or our partner e-filer takes it straight to the IRS.

How long does it take to get started?

About 30 minutes. Onboarding and setup happen on one call — accounts opened, funds and chapters mapped, your team invited. Book a call and we'll do it together.
